The Professional Football Players Observatory (PFPO) has the pleasure in announcing the publication of "Le marché des footballeurs. Réseaux et circuits dans l'économie globale", at present only available in French.
This book inaugurates the “Sports Knowledge” collection created by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) of the University of Neuchâtel in collaboration with the Peter Lang international publishing house. The book’s author, Dr. Raffaele Poli, is the director and co-founder of the PFPO.
A carefully struck balance between theoretical and empirical approaches, the work illustrates the logics underlying the globalization of the football players’ labour market from a geographical, sociological and economic perspective. It presents a first hand account of the functioning of players’ transfer networks, as well as numerous statistics and map illustrations developed by the PFPO.

L'Observatoire des footballeurs professionnels (PFPO) a le plaisir d'annoncer la parution de l'ouvrage "Le marché des footballeurs. Réseaux et circuits dans l'économie globale", pour l'instant disponible uniquement en français.
Ce livre inaugure la collection "Savoirs Sportifs", créée par le Centre international d'étude du sport (CIES) de l'Université de Neuchâtel en collaboration avec la maison d'édition internationale Peter Lang. L'auteur du livre est le Dr. Raffaele Poli, directeur et co-fondateur du PFPO.
Fin assemblage entre démarches théoriques et empiriques, l'ouvrage illustre les logiques sous-jacentes à la mondialisation du marché des footballeurs dans une perspective géographique, sociologique et économique. Il présente des informations de première main sur le fonctionnement des réseaux de transfert des joueurs, ainsi que de nombreuses statistiques et illustrations cartographiques développées au sein du PFPO.
